Chocolate Chip Mousse Delight
Ingredients
- 1 package chocolate chip cookie dough
- 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 box (3.9 oz.) instant chocolate pudding
- 1 pint (2 cups) half & half
- Cool Whip
- Chopped peanuts (optional)
- Chocolate shavings (optional)
Directions
Roll the cookie dough into a 12” circle on a baking stone or cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes until edge of cookie is set, but middle is still moist. Cool for 10 minutes. Loosen cookie from surface of cookie sheet using a long knife. Cool completely. Meanwhile, mix cream cheese and sugar until well blended. Set aside in refrigerator. Pour half & half into a bowl. Mix the pudding into the half & half with wire wisk for 2 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes. Spread cream cheese mixture onto completely cooled cookie within ½ inch of the edge. Spread pudding mixture next, to within ½ inch of edge of the cream cheese. Spread whipped cream last, to within ½ inch of the edge of the pudding. Garnish with peanuts and/or chocolate shavings. Chill in refrigerator until served.
A few tips:
- Make this dessert the day before you plan to serve it. It tastes even better the next day!!
- Slice like a pie with a hot knife or pizza cutter.
- You can also make individual cookies and top each one for easier serving.
- Not the best cookie to swap, but a great dessert to serve guests at your exchange.
