The Clarks were looking for a house that had all of the latest and greatest features laid out exactly the way they wanted them. “When you started breaking down everything we would have to do to make a house something we wanted to come home to, it just made good financial sense for us to build.” They wanted to find a larger home that was in a quiet neighborhood somewhat off the beaten path – but still within a short drive of everything they needed.
They knew from experience that whenever they had a get together, everyone would migrate to the kitchen, so even though they didn’t claim to be gourmet cooks, they wanted a gourmet kitchen. An oversized master suite with lots of closet space, a large master bath and enough room for their bedroom furniture was a must. They love open spaces with plenty of natural light, so they were looking for soaring ceilings. They hoped for a third garage bay to accommodate all the bikes, strollers, rollerblades and extra gear necessary for an active family of five. And, finally, they wanted a home with curb appeal – a place they would be proud to come home to.
Phil and Joy selected a multi-level home from Dominion’s Tradition Collection that met their needs perfectly. “We have 9 foot and vaulted ceilings, granite countertops everywhere, 42 inch cabinets, stainless steel appliances, 3-1/2 bathrooms, a 3-car garage, Andersen® windows, tons of hardwood floors and just about everything you would want from any custom builder, but for a lot less money.” Then there’s the neighborhood with its golf course views and incredible amenities. “The kids are part dolphin and there is a fantastic clubhouse and swimming pool right in the neighborhood. It has everything we were looking for.”
The Clark family spends most of their time together in their huge lower level family room playing games, watching movies and just hanging out. And they love the convenience of the attached full bath.
When asked if they could pick one thing above all others that they love about their home, they decided it was the quality of construction. “Every Dominion home has a custom built feel to it. Our home is something we take a lot of pride in.”
